    BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE • Your new appliance is designed exclusively for domestic use. To ensure best use of your appliance, carefully read the operating instructions which contain a description of the product and useful advice. Keep these instructions for future reference. 1.

    Automatic ice-makers and/or water dispensers not directly connected to the water supply must be filled with drinking water only. • Use the refrigerator compartment only for storing fresh food and the freezer compartment only for storing frozen food, freezing fresh food and making ice cubes.

    Press the button (5) for more than 3 seconds. The temperature shown on the display (7) goes off and the green light (6) comes on. To reactivate the refrigerator operation, press the same button (5) for more than 3 seconds.

    USING THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT The NO FROST freezer compartment has a rating. It can be used to store frozen foods for the period of time indicated on the food packaging. The freezer can also be used to freeze fresh food by placing it on the upper rack or drawer, while the already frozen food should be stored in the other drawers, thus avoiding any contact with food that is still to be frozen.

    USING THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT • Do not refreeze partially thawed food: Consume it within 24 hours. • Avoid, or reduce temperature variations to the minimum. • Respect the expiry date given on the package. • Always follow the instructions given on the package for storing frozen foods.

    Cleaning the refrigerator compartment Refrigerator compartment defrosting is completely automatic. Droplets of water on the rear wall inside the refrigerator compartment indicate that the automatic defrost phase is in progress. The defrost water is automatically run into a drain hole and collected in a container, where it evaporates.

Clean the inside of the refrigerator with a sponge soaked in a solution of lukewarm water and/or mild detergent. Do not use abrasive substances.

    TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE Before contacting the Customer Care Centre… Operation problems are often due to minor causes that can be found and fixed without using any tools. Noises from appliances are normal since the fans and compressors for controlling its operation switch on and off automatically.

    14. Black-out red light alarm CONTROL PANEL LOCK The control panel can be locked after selecting the temperature of the refrigerator and freezer compartment. Press the keys (8) and (9) at the same time for at least 3 seconds and an acoustic alarm will signal activation of the function.

    REPLACING THE LIGHT BULB Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply before replacing the lamp. The lamp might be in two different positions, depending on the model. 1. Loosen the screw and remove the diffuser. 2. The lamp has a bayonet mount. It CANNOT BE UNSCREWED: it should be pulled as shown by the arrow.
