    Installing #J13 and #J30 (MIB/ Flexible Nurse Call) This section describes how to install the following upgrade options: • J13 - RS232/MIB Interface • J30 - Flexible Nurse Call Relay Remove the five screws and pull off the bottom housing.
  • Page 10 3 Installing #J13 and #J30 (MIB/Flexible Nurse Call) Pull out the two white plastic pins. Remove the housing rear. Remove the blank I/O slot covers by pushing the release lever and pulling them out at the same time. Insert the new I/O card(s) (Flexible Nurse Call Relay or MIB) and perform the above steps in reverse order for reassembly.

    Installing #PC0 (iPC) Remove the five screws and pull off the bottom housing. Pull out the two white plastic pins.
  • Page 12 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Unplug the flat ribbon cable from the Power Switch/ECG Sync Out board. Remove the housing rear. Remove the blank side cover from the bottom housing using a screwdriver. The covers are attached to a hook. Press the hook with the screwdriver and pull out the cover. Remove all I/O cards and blank I/O slot covers by pushing the release lever and pulling them out at the same time.
  • Page 13 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Loosen the two captive screws on the connector board assembly. Remove the two screws holding the connector board. Remove the connector board. Remove the screw from the MSL2 board.
  • Page 14 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Pull out the MSL2 board. Unplug the AC/DC power supply cable. With the display facing downwards, remove the bottom row of screws (four screws). Remove the four pins.
  • Page 15 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Remove the arched element of the housing containing the AC/DC power supply. Pull out the 11 release clasps until you hear a click and the padlock symbol on the release clasp is visible. Remove the rear display housing. Unplug the multi-colored display cable from the main board.
  • Page 16 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Plug in the short multi-colored display cable and the iPC power cable provided with the upgrade kit, then insert the video mixer board as shown below. Insert and tighten the four screws on the video mixer board. Route the long multi-colored display cable through the metal hook and plug it and the short multi- colored display cable and the video cable provided with the upgrade kit into the video mixer board.
  • Page 17 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Remove the three screws from the plastic iPC slot cover in the housing rear. Then remove the slot cover. Reinsert the connector board, the I/O boards and/or blank covers and the MSL2 board by performing steps 6 to 11 in reverse order. Insert the iPC.
  • Page 18 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Route the side USB cable under the quick mount and insert the cable holders as shown below. Make sure that the quick mount button is not blocked by the USB cable and still functions correctly. Insert the side USB cable into the hook in the iPC housing. Tighten the four screws on the iPC.
  • Page 19 4 Installing #PC0 (iPC) Plug in the three iPC cables from the iPC main board (Video, USB, Power). Reassemble the monitor by performing steps 1 to 4 in reverse order. Perform the upgrade verification procedures described in the chapter “Verification of Upgrade” on page 45.

    Installing #E42 (Independent Display Interface) Remove the five screws and pull off the bottom housing.

Remove all I/O cards and blank I/O slot covers by pushing the release lever and pulling them out at the same time.

Plug the Independent Display Interface cable into the main board.

Reassemble the arched element of the housing containing the AC/DC power supply by performing steps 10 to 15 in reverse order Remove the three screws from the plastic slot cover in the housing rear. Then remove the slot cover.

Plug the independent display cable into the independent display interface main board. Reassemble the monitor by performing the above steps in reverse order. Perform the upgrade verification procedures described in the chapter “Verification of Upgrade” on page 45.

    6 Installing #J35 (WLAN) Insert the WLAN antenna by pushing the latch in the housing outwards as shown below. Push the eleven release clasps back in before repositioning the rear display housing. Reinsert the rear display housing and press it down carefully. Reassemble the monitor by performing steps 1 to 14 in reverse order.
