RIGHT-SIDE PANEL COMPO-
NENTS
Following is a brief description of your
LifeBook notebook's right-side compo-
nents.
Memory Stick/SD/xD Card Slot
The Memory Stick/Secure Digital (SD)/xD
card slot allows you to install a flash
memory card for data storage. This archi-
tecture allows you to transfer data between
a variety of different digital devices.
When installing a Memory
Stick, SD, or xD card in the
slot, be sure the card label is
facing downward. When
installed, a Memory Stick
will extend approximately
half an inch from the edge
of the notebook chassis.

4 Optical Drive
USB 2.0 Ports
The four USB ports (one on the right side
panel and three on the rear panel) allow
you to connect Universal Serial Bus (USB)
2.0 or USB 1.1 devices.
Optical Drive Eject Button
The optical drive eject button is used to
eject the media tray.
Optical Drive
One of several different drives can be
installed depending upon the configura-
tion of your system.
