Removal of blades and blade housing

WARNING!
Use gloves and protective
goggles when working on the
cutting unit.
The cutting unit should be removed from the
machine, see "Removing the cutting unit".
1 Remove the front equipment frame.
2 Remove the upper cover of the cutting unit by
opening the snap-in lock.
3 Remove the screw holding the deck belt
pulley (1).

4 Secure the blade with a wooden block or hold
the belt pulley with an oil filter puller for example.
Do not misplace the key that is between the
belt pulley and the shaft. Remove the deck belt
pulley. You might need a wrench to do so.
5 Lock the blade with a wooden block. Loosen the
blade bolt and remove the blade bolt, washer
and blade.
6 Loosen the four screws that hold the blade
bearing and remove the entire bearing assembly
from the cutting unit.
