- Page 3 INSTRUCTIONS: Paint and coat with polyurethane before assembling. After paint dries, glue dowels into place using wood glue. Cut three 10” lengths of rope, using candleto fuse each end and prevent fraying. Push each end of rope halfway through copper coupling, using construction adhesive to secure.
