1. This is a message from the internal keypad memory which means it is not getting
data from the panel on the yellow wire, panel terminal 7. Make sure this wire is intact
with a rapid fluctuating voltage of 10-13Vdc to ground at the keypad and panel.
2. Check the address on the keypad. Valid addresses are 16-23. Addresses 17-23 must
also be enabled in programming fields *190-*196.
3. If powered by a separate power supply, connect a common ground wire between the
power supply negative and panel aux power negative, terminal 4.
1. Check power and connections to the keypad. This should be 12-13Vdc.
2. Check the address on the keypad. Valid addresses are 16-23. Addresses 17-23
must also be enabled in programming fields *190-*196.
3. If powered by a separate power supply, connect a common ground wire between the
power supply negative and panel aux power negative, terminal 4.
1. Make sure the keypad is not addressed to the same address as any other keypad.
Two devices at the same address will cause them to lockup.
2. A green wire is shorted preventing any commands to be sent to the panel. If there is
more than one device on the ECP, connect one device at a time to the panel to
isolate the wire run.
1. Make sure Chime is enabled with a valid code + 9. The word "Chime" will be
displayed on the keypad when it is "Ready to Arm".
2. "Chime by Zone" is enabled in *26 but the zones do not exist in Zone List 3. This
option allows you to choose certain Entry/Exit and Perimeter zones to chime.
3. Keypad sounds have been suppressed in the second digit of the keypad addressing
fields *190 - *196. This can suppress Chime, Entry/Exit, and Arm/Disarm beeps from
specific keypads.
1. Make sure *37 "Audible Exit Warning" is enabled for exit beeps on all keypads.
2. Keypad sounds have been suppressed in the second digit of the keypad addressing
fields *190 - *196. This can suppress Chime, Entry/Exit, and Arm/Disarm beeps from
specific keypads.
1. Too much power is being pulled from the panel's Aux Power and/or from the Bell
Output. Make sure no more than 600mA is being used from Aux Power and that no
more than 2 Amps is being used on the Bell Output.
2. This can be caused by a bad battery or one with no or poor battery power.
Disconnect the battery is the problem by disconnecting it and trying the alarm again.
