displayed.

Possible Cause
The primary ECG lead has
become invalid.
Poor skin contact, pads are
not properly connected to
the patient. Minimal patient
movement is possible in this
situation as the defibrillator
may deliver a small amount
of energy.
A device failure which
prevented therapy from
being delivered has occurred.
A therapy malfunction has
occurred.
Possible Cause
The sensor is not properly
connected or the sensor cable
is damaged.
The SpO
waveform is not
2
configured to be displayed
and there is not an unused
wave sector.
You are in AED Mode and
SpO
waveform is not
2
configured to be displayed or
SpO
is non-pulsatile.
2
The patient's pulse is absent
or too weak to be detected or
the sensor has come off.
Potential Solution
Check that the monitoring electrodes are applied
properly to the patient. Check cable connections.
Resume pacing.
Make sure the pads are applied properly.
Replace pads if necessary.
Re-attempt therapy. If it fails again, the device reboots.
Re-try. If it fails for a third time, the message

appears. In an emergency
situation, use another device. Run Operational Check
to clear the error.
Re-attempt therapy.

Potential Solution
Check the sensor connection and cable.
Try another sensor.
Use the Displayed Waves menu to select a wave sector
to display the SpO
waveform.
2
Configure AED Mode to use SpO
Check perfusion at the measurement site.
Check that the sensor is applied properly.
Make sure the sensor site has a pulse.
Relocate the sensor to another site with improved
circulation.
If the message occurs during an NBP measurement on
the same limb, wait until the NBP measurement is
finished.
Try another sensor.
