4. ADJUSTMENT / SETTINGS

4-1. User Mode

User mode functions can be performed via the Resume/Cancel button or from the printer driver Maintenance
tab.
<Standalone printer operation>
1) Turn on the printer in the user mode.
2) Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button until the Power LED blinks in green the specified number of
times listed in the table below, and release it. The operation starts.
Function
Print head - Cleaning of all colors at the same
manual cleaning time:
- Cleaning of Black, Color, or all
Nozzle check Perform via the Resume/Cancel
pattern printing button, or from the printer driver
Maintenance tab.
Print head deep Perform from the printer driver
cleaning Maintenance tab.
Automatic print Perform via the Resume/Cancel
head alignment button, or from the printer driver
Maintenance tab.
Manual print Perform from the printer driver
head alignment Maintenance tab.
Print head Perform from the printer driver
alignment value Maintenance tab.

Pick-up roller Perform from the printer driver
cleaning Maintenance tab (Roller Cleaning).
Procedures
Perform via the Resume/Cancel
button.

1 time Unclogging of the print head
nozzles, and maintenance to keep
the print head conditions good.
If there is a missing portion or white
streaks in the nozzle check pattern
printout, perform this cleaning.
2 times Set a sheet of plain paper (A4 or
Letter) in the cassette. (No paper
feeding from the rear tray)
--- If print head manual cleaning is not
effective, perform this cleaning.
Since the deep cleaning consumes
more ink than regular cleaning, it is
recommended to perform deep
cleaning only when necessary.
4 times Set 2 sheets of plain paper (A4 or
Letter) in the cassette. (No paper
feeding from the rear tray)
--- Set 2 sheets of plain paper (A4 or
Letter) in the cassette. (No paper
feeding from the rear tray)
--- Confirmation of the current print
head alignment values.
--- The pick-up rollers of the rear tray
or the cassette rotate while being
pushed to the paper lifting plate.
Since the rollers will wear out in this
cleaning, it is recommended that you
