Figure 1: MOON LP5.3 Circuit Board layout Prior to connecting your MOON LP 5.3 Phono Preamplifier to the MOON PSX 5.3 Power Supply, you must move two (2) internal jumpers inside your MOON LP 5.3. Please refer to page 8 of your MOON LP5.3 owner’s manual for detailed instructions on how to remove the chassis cover. -
Page 8: Rear Panel Connections
Connect the MOON LP5.3’s AC power cable to the IEC receptacle, located on the PSX5.3’s rear panel. Ensure that the AC wall outlet you use has a functioning ground. For the best sonic performance, it is preferable that you plug your PSX 5.3 directly into a dedicated AC outlet and avoid using an extension cord. -

MOON PSX 5.3 Power Supply’s on/off switch, located on the rear panel. We recommend that you leave your MOON PSX 5.3 Power Supply powered up at all times to maintain optimal sonic performance. In the event that you plan to be away from your home for a few days, powering off the MOON PSX 5.3 may not be a bad idea. -
