Step 1: Wall Plate Installation

Wood Stud Installation

Use a high-quality electronic stud finder (commercially available) to locate dead

center of two studs and mark their locations with a pencil (figure 1-a).

Hold the wall plate to the wall and mark four locations to be used for mounting the

wall plate.

Take down the plate and drill four holes at the position you've marked.

Attach the wall plate to the wall again and insert the bolts (A) and large washers

(D) into the holes (figure 1-b) and tighten.

Page 2 Concrete/Brick Wall Installation Place the wall plate against the wall and mark four locations to be used for mounting the wall plate. Pre-drill four holes at the positions you've marked and insert one concrete anchor (B) into each hole. Position the Wall Plate onto the wall again and insert the bolts (A) and large washer (D) into the anchor as shown (figure 1-b) and tighten.
