AIR CLEANER

The cyclone aircleaner is composed of a primary cyclone aircleaner and dual element aircleaner.

Function:
The air guide fins in the upper part of the primary aircleaner cause air from the intake air port to whirl rapidly,
creating a small cyclone. Due to centrifugal force, the coarse particles of dirt or sand are forced to the sides and
bottom of the primary aircleaner body, and eventually go out of the discharge port. Air speed in the middle of the
cyclone is slower, enabling engine vacuum to pull the partially cleaned air up through the center of the air guide to
the dual element cleaner.
This two-stage cleaning is more thorough, resulting in longer service life.
INNER VENT-TYPE CARBURETTOR
On the aircleaner side, the carburetor has an internal ventilation port to the float chamber, to equalize float
chamber pressure by venturi vacuum. The result is that a more consistent amount of fuel can be supplied by the
main jet without being affected by the increasing air resistance, as the dual aircleaner element becomes dirty.
Both "Internal" and "External" vent ports are found on the carburetor.
