Note
Do not install software from sources without
adequate protection against viruses and
other harmful software.
The phone only supports J2ME™ Java
applications. Do not download Personal
Java™ applications as they cannot be
installed.
You can download and install an applica-
tion immediately during a WAP session.
Note that the WAP connection is left run-
ning in the background during installation.
You can only install files with the extension
*.JAD or *.JAR.
Glossary
JAR file (Java archive): This file includes
the executable application. When a JAR file
is activated, the application is started.
JAD file (Java descriptor): These files con-
tain information on the application (JAR file)
and their address for downloading. When a
JAD file is activated, the connection to the
Internet is established and the executable
application is loaded.

Installation options

In the

the list of all installed applications.
Yo can use the following options:
Install, View details, Delete, Settings,
Exit.

You may use an optional MultiMediaCard
as a supplementary storage area (p. 65).
