    Controlling the Projector by a Computer When the RS-232C terminal on the projector is connected to a computer with a DIN-D-sub RS- 232C adaptor (supplied) and an RS-232C serial control cable (cross type, commercially available), the computer can be used to control the projector and check the status of the projector.

    Correcting Trapezoidal Distortion When the image is projected either from the top or from the bottom towards the screen at an angle, the image becomes distorted trapezoidally. The function for correcting trapezoidal distortion is called Keystone Correction. Note • The Keystone Correction can be adjusted up to an angle of approximately ±40 degrees and the screen can also be set up to an angle of approximately ±40 degrees.

    The projection distance exceeds the focus range. • There is fog on the lens. If the projector is carried from a cold room into a warm room, or if it is suddenly heated, condensation may form on the surface of the lens and the image will become blurred. Set up the projector at least one hour before it is to be used.
  • Page 70 The lamp will eventually need to be changed. While the remaining lamp life draws to a close, replace the lamp. Operate the remote control while pointing it at the projector's remote control sensor. The remote control may be too far away from the projector.
