4. Names and Functions of Parts
Description

A predictive failure alert has been
received for this drive
The drive has been selected by the
management application

The drive is running correctly
The drive has been selected by the

A predictive failure alert has been received for
this drive. Replace the drive as soon as
possible.
The drive is online but is currently not running
Do not remove the drive. Removing the drive
will shut down the current operation which may
lead to a loss of data.
The drive is part of an array that is undergoing
capacity expansion or stripe migration, but a
predictive failure alert has been received for
this drive. To minimize the risk of data loss, do
not remove the drive until the expansion or
migration is complete.
