Connecting the Cordless Handset Charger Connect the AC adapter to the cordless handset charger. Plug the AC adapter into a standard 120 V AC outlet. Important: Never cover the charger and AC adapter with a blanket, cloth, or other material. Excessive heating may result and cause fire.
Place the cordless handset in the charger with the dial pad facing forward. • Important! The dial pad must face forward, or the battery will not charge. • The battery charges automatically while the cordless handset is in the charger. While charging, the display shows CHARGING.
Registering the Cordless Handset After the initial charging, the cordless handset display shows: PLEASE REGISTER On the cordless handset, hold down INTER until the display at right appears. Deleting a cordless handset If you wish to stop using a cordless handset, follow these steps to delete it (cancel the registration in the fax machine). On the cordless handset, hold down INTER until the display at right appears. Press on the cordless handset.
