Measuring Impedance using the Smith Chart
Perform a One-Port Reflection Calibration
Since impedance is a reflection measurement, you can perform a
reflection calibration to improve accuracy. Refer to
Reflection Calibration" on page
Connect the DUT
Equipment Setup for a Reflection Measurement of a Two-Port
Device
If you connect the DUT between both analyzer ports, it is recommended
that you use a 10 dB pad on the output of the DUT to improve
measurement accuracy. If you connect a two-port DUT to the
REFLCTION port only, it is recommended that you use a high-quality
load (such as a calibration standard) on the output of the DUT.
