    Connections Points to keep in mind when setting up Do not place the machine and the drum cartridge in direct sunlight. Keep dust away from the machine. About condensation Connections Do not place the machine near heaters or air conditioners. Keep the area around the machine clear.

    Dialing and transmission problems Problem No dial tone when you pick up the handset or press the SPEAKER key. Dialing is not possible. The power is on, but no transmission takes place. Nothing is printed at the receiving end. A distorted image is received at the other end.

    Problems and Solutions Reception and copying problems Problem The fax machine doesn't receive documents automatically. The power is on, but no reception takes place. The printing paper comes out blank when you try to receive a document. The received document is faint.

    The quality of copies is poor and/or black spots appear. Dots appear at regular intervals on received documents and copies. Answering machine connection Problem The answering machine connection does not operate properly. • Any dirt or material on the scanning glass will cause spots to appear on copies and transmitted faxes.
