3. Load envelopes into the tray.
Note: Load C5 envelopes only into the tray.
• For envelopes with the flap on a long edge, load the envelopes face down with the flaps open,
and the flaps on the leading edge, toward the left.
• For envelopes with the flap on a short edge, load the envelopes face down with the flaps
closed, and the flaps toward the front of the printer.
4. Center the stack of envelopes, then slide the paper guides until they lightly touch the edges of the
envelopes.
5. Ensure that there are no more than 20 envelopes loaded in the tray.
6. At the control panel, select the correct paper size and color:
• Ensure that the paper size is set to C5 Envelope. To select a new paper size, touch Size.
• To select a new paper color, touch Color.
Note: When the paper size is set to C5 Envelope, the paper type defaults to Envelope.
7. To confirm the settings, touch Confirm.
