These instructions apply only to Sentry models designed to be user-upgradeable. Sentry units without a user-removable Modem plate must be upgraded by the factory. NOTE: Server Technology highly recommends the use of a grounding wrist strap while installing the Global Security Modem to avoid damaging any components due to static electricity (ESD).
Chapter 3: Operations The Sentry Global Security Modem is a v.92 (56K) data modem and provides out-of-band access to the Sentry Remote Power Manager. The Sentry integrated Modem additionally supports Callback Security and Remote Configuration. NOTE: Sentry RPMs with integrated modems manufactured prior to June 30, 2003 may contain older OEM modem modules.
The AT#S= command is used to set the Setup password. The password may be 1 to 8 characters and is case sensitive. The default Setup password is ‘MTSMODEM’. NOTE: For security, Server Technology recommends changing the predefined password prior to connection to your network. To set the Setup password: After successfully logging into the modem with the Setup password, type at#s=, followed by the password and press Enter.
The Sentry integrated Modem is compliant for use per Telecom Certification for the countries listed in the following table. The AT%T19,0, command is used to set the country code. NOTE: Callback Security dial strings may also be configured to allow a user to bypass the stored number with a dynamic entry or make a direct connection without a callback.
