3-60 FUEL SYSTEM (DFI)
Intake Air Temperature Sensor (Service Code 13) (DTC P0110, P0112)
(Checking wire for short circuit to power supply wire)
Connect the ECU connectors.
Connect the measuring adapter [A] between the harness
connector and intake air temperature sensor.
Main Harness [B]
Intake Air Temperature Sensor [C]
Special Tool - Measuring Adapter: 57001-1700
Connect a digital meter [D] to the measuring adapter
Intake Air Temperature Sensor Output Voltage
Connections to Adapter:
Digital Meter (+) → R (sensor R/BK) lead
Digital Meter (–) → BK (sensor G) lead
Measure the output voltage with the engine stopped and
with the connector joined.
Turn the ignition switch on.
About DC 2.25 ∼ 2.50 V @20°C (68°F)
The output voltage changes according to the intake air
Turn the ignition switch off.
If the reading is out of the standard, repair or replace the
If the main harness is no problem, replace the intake air
Intake Air Temperature Sensor Inspection (Service
Code 13/DTC P0112)
(Checking wire for short circuit to ground)
ECU Connectors (see ECU Removal)
Intake Air Temperature Sensor Connector (see Intake
Air Temperature Sensor Removal/Installation)
Check the wiring for short circuit to ground by checking
continuity between the sensor connector [A] and frame
Wiring Continuity Inspection
R/BK lead (ECU terminal 16) [C] ←→ Frame Ground
If there is continuity, repair or replace the main harness.
If there is no continuity, check the intake air temperature
