Internal (IUP) Monitoring
Problem
No change in pressure during
contraction.
Only pressure peaks can be
seen (baseline not visible).
Trace is a straight line.
Trace is superimposed with
noise.
INOP is

Possible Causes
Dry environment or possible extra-
ovular placement of sensor tip.
Zero adjustment is incorrect.
Transducer is defective.
Catheter blocked.
End of catheter is in the uterine wall. Refer to catheter Instructions for Use.
See "Patient Alarms and INOPs" on page 113.
Solutions
Refer to catheter Instructions for Use.
Zero the system.
Remove and touch the catheter. If the trace
does not show up and down movements, use a
new transducer.
Refer to catheter Instructions for Use.
