Troubleshooting

Common problems that may occur when monitoring FHR using ultrasound are listed in "Monitoring
FHR and FMP Using Ultrasound" on page 141. See also "Monitoring FHR Using DECG" on
page 183 for common problems you might encounter when monitoring FHR directly.
The following problem may occur when monitoring twins.
Problem

Both transducers are recording the
same FHR, or one fetal transducer is
recording the MHR.
