Programming a cycle
4.3 Fundamentals
The plane for the standard screens can be permanently set via cycle machine data. The
corresponding line in the screens is then omitted:

The thread depth H1 parameter can be changed for metric threads by means of the cycle
setting data:

– 0 = plane selection in the user interface
– 1 = always G17 (XY)
– 2 = always G18 (ZX) (default setting)
– 3 = always G19 (YZ)
– Bit 1 = 1: Calculate thread depth from metric thread pitch
Thread milling, thread turning:
If a metric thread pitch P is entered without table, a thread depth H1 is calculated from
this.
The entry field for H1 is highlighted in yellow. The value can be subsequently
overwritten.
– Bit 2 = 1: Take thread diameter and thread depth from thread table
Tapping, thread milling, thread turning:
If a table entry is selected, all the resulting values are calculated:
Tapping: Only P → not yellow
Thread milling: P, diameter, H1
Longitudinal thread turning: X0, H1
