Battery Installation The battery cover is located on the back of the unit. Slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to gain access to the battery compartment insert 2 AAA(UM-4) batteries into the compartment.Make sure that batteries are positioned in accordance with the diagram located below batteries in battery compartment. -

Setting Time When batteries are installed for the first time the LCD display time digit will flash indicating that the time needs to be set. The clock can be set with the power off but the lockswitch must be off. To set time press Time Set Button for more then 2 seconds until hour digit flashes. - Page 8 LCD will return to real time and Standby Set icon will appear in display . A buzzer will sound when set time is reached and will continue for at least 3 mimutes or until it is stopped by pressing the Power On/Off Button. Antenna/Earphone Use The earphone cord acts as an antenna during reception of FM/TV/Weather Band(DT-300/300V/300VW)channels and should be extended as much as possible to improve sensitivity. Insert the earphone into the earphone jack for earphone operation .
