Status Indicators

POWER LED ( )

4.7.1
POWER LED indicates power ON/OFF status of the server.
POWER LED pattern
On (green)
Off

STATUS LED 1, 2 ( )

4.7.2
While hardware is operating normally, STATUS LED 1 lights green. STATUS LED 2 is off.
STATUS LED 1 is off or STATUS LED 2 lights/flashes amber if there is a hardware failure.

The server is normally powered on.
The server is off-powered.
The server is in halt status.
Tips
If NEC ESMPRO is installed, you can view error logs to check the causes of
failures.
Description
The server is operating normally.
Initialization of BMC is in progress.
Memory is in a degraded state
A correctable memory error has often
occurred.
Operating while CPU error is detected.
In redundant power configuration, power is
not supplied to either of power unit.
The power is off.
POST is in progress.
Watchdog timer expired.
Memory dump is being requested.
Note: It remains green if the dump is caused
by software.

4. Names and Functions of Parts
Description
Solution
Wait until initialization completes.
Identify the device in degraded state by using
BIOS Setup Utility (SETUP), and replace it as
soon as possible.
Turn on the server.
Wait for a while. STATUS LED will turn green
after POST completes.
Turn the power off and then turn it on.
If POST screen displays any error message,
take notes of the message, and contact your
sales representative.
Wait until the memory dump is completed.
