The IPX9 test as defined by EN 60529 is carried out under standardized laboratory
conditions and certifies resistance of equipment to water penetration during cleaning with
high-pressure water.
According to the standard, the IPX9 test must be conducted with the following
parameters:
– Water temperature approximately 80° C
– Pressure approximately 80 bar
– Spray angles 0°, 30°, 60°, 90°, spraying time approximately 30 seconds
– Distance between spray nozzle and equipment approximately 125 mm
