Muting The Microphone

To mute the microphone so that you can hear the other party but they cannot hear
you (this does not put them on hold):
— Press the MUTE key.
— To return to the call, press the MUTE key.

"Group Listen" Using The Speaker

The "Group Listen" feature allows you to transmit a conversation over the speaker
while using a handset or headset. This allows other people in the room to listen to the
conversation. However, the microphone remains disabled so that only you can speak
through the handset or headset.
This feature cannot be used on a handsfree call. You must be on a call using the hand-
set or a headset before entering the feature code.
To turn the group listen feature on or off during a call:
— While on a call using the handset or a headset, press the SPCL key, and dial

NOTE:
If you are using the handset, the SPKR key lamp will remain unlit, even though
the speaker is on. This allows you to place the call into handsfree mode at any time dur-
ing the call by pressing the SPKR key. If you are using a headset, the Speaker key lamp
is lit. Pressing the SPKR key will disconnect the call.
