    Connection Options There are two different connection options for connecting D -Net (IEEE1394) compatible devices. Select the most suitable option according to your network of audio/video products. The Direct Device-To-Device Option D-Net (IEEE1394) permits the chaining of devices, unlike analog audio and video connections where each device needs to be individually connected to the TV.

    4-Pin and 6-Pin Connectors Two different types of connectors are used for IEEE1394 terminals and cables, a 4-pin and a 6-pin. The 4-pin connector sends digital audio, digital video and digital control signals to and from devices. The TV has two available 4-pin connection jacks, of which two are at the back. The 6-pin connector also sends digital audio, video and control signals, but in addition, sends low voltage electrical power.
