4. To drain the engine oil, place a funnel at the drain
outlet (1).
To check the belt tension
WARNING: Never set belts beyond original
tension.
Equipment troubleshooting
WARNING: Inspection and/or maintenance
should be carried out with the motor
switched off and the plug disconnected.

Troubleshooting

CAUSES
Not plugged in properly or cable
damaged
No main voltage
Switch defective, motor cable
damaged
Motor faulty (no power, unpleas-
ant smell)
Does not start (petrol engine)
Belt broken
Drum stuck
Drum rubs against ground
Motor start capacitor
1. Check the belt tension weekly.
2. Tight the lock nut (1) and nut (2) to set the belt
tension. Do not overtighten.
In the event of faulty operation refer to the tables below
to find a solution.
REMEDIES
Make sure that the supply is correctly plugged in (plug,
extension lead, etc). Check the supply cable.
Test or have tested by an electrician (circuit breaker,
plug, etc).
Have tested by an electrician or contact the service de-
partment.
Contact the service department to have the motor re-
placed.
Refer to engine service instructions or contact after sales
service if the engine stopped or find the spark plug faulty
or loose.
Contact the parts department for a replacement.
Ensure the product is disconnected from the power.
Check that the drum rotates, remove whatever prevents
the rotation.
Free the drum to make it easier to start.
Replace the capacitor.
