General power tool safety warnings WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury. Electrical safety 1. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock. 2. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. -

Keep hands and feet away from the cutting device at all times and especially when switching the product on. 2. Do not try to grasp or remove trimmings when the product is running. Only remove trimmings when the product is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.

Intended use This cordless hedge trimmer is designated with a rated voltage of 36V. It is designed only to be used with the battery pack YT8033-02. YT8085-02 designates the respective charger with a charging voltage of 58V. This product is intended for cutting and trimming of hedges, bushes and shrubs in domestic gardens. -

Assembly WARNING! Before using the product, familiarise yourself with the operating features read the entire instruction manual paying particular attention to the safety rules and operating procedures. WARNING! The product must be fully assembled before operation! Do not use a product that is only partly assembled or assembled with damaged parts! Follow the assembly instructions step-by-step and use the pictures provided as a visual guide to easily assemble the product! -

Assembly Remove the blade guard Check the cutting attachment. Remove the blade cover before use and never use blades that are dull, cracked or damaged. Make sure the machine is in perfect working order and all nuts and screws are tight. Fig. -

Assembly Attach/remove the battery To insert the battery, slide it into the back of the hedge trimmer until a “click” is heard. (See Fig. 5). Make sure the battery is fully inserted and latched into position. To remove the battery, press the release button and slide the battery out of the hedge trimmer. -

Operation Preparing the hedge trimmer Before starting the hedge trimmer, check that the trigger switches and safety switches are moving freely, returning automatically and quickly upon release. Also check that the cooling air vents are not obstructed and that both the front and rear handles are clean and dry. -

Working Trimming 1. Cut and remove branches exceeding the cutting capacity of this product using a proper pruner before operation. 2. Always hold the product firmly with both hands on the front handle and rear handle. Never operate this product using only one hand. 3. -

Apply a small amount of suitable lubricant on the cutting device to retain a good cutting performance. 3. Keep the cutting device sharp. Have a worn or damaged cutting device replaced with a new one of the same type by a qualified specialist. -
