This publication is intended to help IBM System Specialists, Sales Representatives, Business
Partners, and IBM customers to use this Handbook as a reference for the options available
with the AS/400 system. It is designed for guidance only. It is not a detailed configurator since
it does not contain full lists of prerequisites that a feature may need. Nor does it always list
features that may be mutually exclusive. The information in this publication is not intended as
the specification of any programming interfaces that are provided by the AS/400 system. See
the PUBLICATIONS section of the IBM Programming Announcement for more information
about what publications are considered to be product documentation.
