Your SGH-M100 phone can be used as an MP3 player and this manual provides information on how to: • Download MP3 music files to your phone • Play them on your phone What is MP3? MP3 is a standard audio file format enabling a sound sequence to be compressed into about one-twelfth the size of the original file with very little loss in sound quality. -

Getting Started Connecting the Remote Control You can only listen to MP3 music through the remote control supplied with your phone. Remote control keys Connector (to your phone) To connect the remote control to your phone, proceed as follows. 1. Gently pull open the flap marked REMOTE the left side of the phone. -

Playing MP3 Music Once you have downloaded some MP3 files to your phone, you can listen to them whenever you want. To play an MP3 file, you can use the remote control or the keys on the phone. Note: Before playing MP3 music, make sure that you have disconnected the download cable from the phone. -

Solving Problems If you experience problems when using the MP3 functions, perform the following simple checks. You cannot hear music in the earphones • Is the remote control/earphone correctly connected to your phone? • Have you removed the download cable from the phone? You must disconnect this cable before playing a music file. -
