Adjusting the volume during a call

During a call, if you want to adjust the voice
volume, use the Volume keys on the left side of the
phone.
Press
to increase the volume level and
decrease the level. The image on the display shows
all 4 levels; the more bars you see, the higher the
level is.
In Standby mode, you can also adjust the keypad
tone and function volume using these keys.

Silencing a call ringer

You can silence the ringer when a call comes in.
Press and hold one of the Volume keys when the
phone is closed. If the phone is open, press and
hold
on the left side of the phone or

Rejecting a call

To reject an incoming call, press and hold
left side of the phone when your phone is open.

Answering a call

When somebody calls you, the phone alerts you by
ringing and blinking the service light on the front of
the phone.
If the caller can be identified, the caller's phone
number, or name if stored in Phonebook, displays.
There are 2 ways to answer a call, depending on
your setting in the Call Answer menu (MENU 8-
4):
If you select To answer the call,
Folder Open
open the phone. If it is already
open, press

Any Key
open the phone and press any key

To end the call, close the phone or press

• You can answer a call using the Answering Machine
feature. When a call comes in, press and hold
For further details, using the Voice Answer feature;
see page 141.
• You can answer a call while using Phonebook or
menu features. The current operation stops.
