interface range macro (define)

Defines a macro for an interface range and then saves the macro in the running configuration.

Syntax
define interface range macro name interface , interface , ...
Parameters

interface vlan
— configures a VLAN interface.
show config (from INTERFACE RANGE mode)
interfaces.
show range
— shows the bulk configuration ranges.
interface range macro (define)
Enter up to 16 characters for the macro name.
Enter the keywords interface range and one of the
interfaces — slot/port, pe-id/stack-unit/port-id, port-channel, or
VLAN number. Select the range of interfaces for bulk
configuration. You can enter up to six comma-separated ranges.
Spaces are not required between the commas. Comma-
separated ranges can include VLANs, port-channels, and
physical interfaces.
Slot/Port information must contain a space before and after the
dash. For example, interface range tengigabitethernet
0/1 - 5 is valid; interface range tengigabitethernet
0/1-5 is NOT valid.
— configures a port channel group.
— defines a macro for an interface-range.
For a Port Channel interface, enter the keywords port-
channel then a number. The range is from 1 to 128.
For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet then the slot/port information.
