Port Channel Commands

A Link Aggregation Group (LAG) is a group of links that appear to a MAC client as if they were a single link
according to IEEE 802.3ad. In Dell Networking OS, a LAG is also known as a Port Channel.
The platform supports 4096 port channels and 16 members per port channel.
Because each port can be assigned to only one Port Channel, and each Port Channel must have at least one
port, some of those nominally available Port Channels might have no function because they could have no
members if there are not enough ports installed.
Port Channel can be configured with port extender (PE) interface when feature extended bridge is enabled.
NOTE:
The Dell Networking OS implementation of LAG or Port Channel requires that you configure a LAG
on both switches manually. For information about Dell Networking OS link aggregation control protocol
(LACP) for dynamic LAGs, see the
information about configuring and using Port Channels, see the Dell Networking OS Configuration Guide.
