Suggestions for Using the
Machine
I. Avoid places dusty, extremely hot or cold, also places
exposed to direct sunshine for a long time.
2. Connect the AC plug to power supply firmly so that
(
it may not be pulled out accidentally.
"-'· Connect to a power source exclusively reserved for
the cash register. For instance, don't take power for a
refrigerator or other electric appliances from the same
source.
4. Don't use chemicals for cleaning the cabinet or
keyboard.
5. Keep the keys in a safe place. Don't keep keys in the
drawer.
6. Install 3 x "AA" size dry batteries in order to protect
memories during AC power failure. The life of the
battery is approx. 1 year. Ask your dealer to replace
batteries periodically every year. Leaving the batteries
over a year may cause memory loss or leakage of liquid
resulting in damage to the machine.
Call your dealer to replace the batteries with new ones
in this case.

Recommended Practices
1. What should be done every morning.
I) Check to see if there is sufficient paper for a
complete days business.
2) Automatic read total (X) operation and inspection
of memory contents.
2. What should be done after a days business.
1) Automatic reset total (Z) operation.
2) Cutting-off and keeping of the days journal tape.
3) Check roll paper.
4) Leave the drawer open.
5) Set the Mode switch OFF.
3. What should be done periodically.
Check the visibility of printing.
Change the ink rib bon if necessary.
Guarantee
The SANYO ECR's have been manufactured under
very strict quality control standards.
If the machine is out of order, consult your dealer.
We can accept no responsibility for damage resulting
from unauthorized usage or disassembly of the electronic
cash register.
