Wind Cut
You can reduce wind noise when recording sound from the built-in microphone.
If "Wind Cut" is set to "On," the low-frequency components in the sound picked up by the
microphone will be cut off during recording: this makes it easier to hear voices and sound
during playback.
• Use the Wind Cut when recording in windy places such as a beach.
Settings Contents
Off Disables the function.
On Minimizes wind noise or other noise while recording.
• Make sure the "Wind Cut" is set to "Off" when you want the microphone to be
sensitive as possible.
• The Wind Cut function works only in the DVD camcorder record mode with
the built-in microphone.

Back Light

When subject is lit from behind, this function will compensate for lighting so that the subject
is not too dark.

Off Disables the function.
- Backlight compensation is executed.
On
- Backlight compensation brightens the subject quickly.
Back lighting influences recording when the subject is darker than the background:
- The subject is in front of a window.
- The person to be recorded is wearing white or shiny clothes and is placed against a
bright background; the person's face is too dark to
distinguish his/her features.
- The subject is outdoors and the background is
overcast.
- The light sources are too bright.
- The subject is against a snowy background.
This function will be set to "Off" in the EASY.

Wind Cut (Antiviento)
Puede reducir el ruido del viento al grabar sonido con el micrófono incorporado.
Si "Wind Cut" (Antiviento) se define en "On", los componentes de baja frecuencia del

La luz de fondo influye en la grabación cuando el objeto que se va a grabar es más
oscuro que el fondo:
- Cuando el objeto está delante de una ventana.

Deshabilita la función.
Minimiza el ruido del viento u otro ruido mientras se graba.
Asegúrese de que la función "Wind Cut" (Antiviento) esté definida en "Off"
cuando desee que la sensibilidad del micrófono sea la máxima posible.
La función de antiviento sólo funciona en el modo de grabación de la
videocámara con DVD con el micrófono incorporado.

- La compensación de luz de fondo da brillo al objeto
rápidamente.
- Cuando se va a grabar a una persona que lleva
ropa blanca o brillante y se encuentra frente a
un fondo muy iluminado. En este caso, su cara
estará demasiado oscura para que se distingan
sus facciones.
- Cuando el objeto se encuentra en el exterior y el
fondo está nublado.
- Cuando la fuente de luz es muy intensa.
- Cuando el objeto se encuentra delante de un
fondo nevado.
Esta función se definirá en "Off" en el
modo EASY.Q.
