Parts Ordering / Service ... 14 The VC722 hand vac is a 7.2-volt hand vacuum that allows for easy clean up. Your hand vac comes with a removable battery pack, charger and cradle that provides storage and keeps the hand vac charged and ready to use.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Do not abuse cord. Never carry charger or base by the cord or yank to disconnect from electrical outlet. Grasp charger, not the cord, and pull to unplug. Do not allow cord to hang over edge of table or counter or to touch hot surfaces.

This manual contains im- portant safety and operating instructions for your cordless hand vac and charger. Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, or serious personal injury.

Inspect it carefully to make sure no breakage or damage has occurred during shipping. If any parts are damaged or missing, contact your nearest Ryobi Authorized Ser- vice Center. Included with your hand vac should be one battery pack, charger, crevice tool, brush attachment, fil- ter, and this operator’s manual.
Also, if you are removing battery pack from charger and no LED is on, return both battery pack and charger to your nearest Ryobi Authorized Service Center. Do not insert another battery pack into charger. A defective charger may damage a battery pack.
CHARGING CRADLE CAUTION: To prevent injury or damage to the unit, the cradle must be mounted securely to the wall. A charging cradle has been supplied with your hand vac for easy storage and charging. To utilize the cradle, it has to be mounted to a wall.
If the charger/charging assembly does not charge your battery pack under normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger/charging assembly to your nearest Ryobi Authorized Service Center for elec- trical check. TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK See Figure 6 .
