    Use battery only with charger listed. MODEL BATTERY PACK (P100) P530 130255004 n Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord to carry the charger. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.

    A spindle lock secures the spindle and allows you to easily loosen the collet nut and change bits. NOTE: Do not run speed saw with spindle lock engaged. DEPTH ADJUSTMENT RING Your speed saw is equipped with a depth adjustment ring that allows you to adjust the depth of cut up to 1 in.

    ASSEMBLY REMOVING DEPTH ADJUSTMENT RING See Figure 2. n Remove battery pack from speed saw. n Place wrench in tab on depth adjustment ring. n Depress spring-loaded tab. n Lift depth adjustment ring off tool. ASSEMBLING CIRCLE CUTTER See Figure 3.

    ATTACHING CIRCLE CUTTER See Figure 4. n Remove Battery Pack From speed saw. n Assemble circle cutter if necessary. Refer to “Assembling Circle Cutter.” n Remove bit if necessary. Refer to “Inserting/Removing Bits” in this manual. n Place adaptor under depth adjustment ring.

    LED on charger will come on. NOTE: If the charger does not charge the battery pack under normal circumstances, return both the battery pack and charger to your nearest Ryobi Authorized Service Center for electrical check. n Charge the battery pack only with a recommended charger.

    INSTALLING BATTERY PACK See Figure 6. n Place battery pack on the speed saw. n Align raised rib on battery pack with groove in saw’s bat- tery port. n Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap in place and that battery pack is secured on the tool before beginning operation.
  • Page 13 Cut a pilot hole in the center of the intended circle. n Line up pivot point knob with the lead hole. n Begin cut, applying moderate, steady pressure. n Hold the speed saw firmly with one hand and the handle with the other. CAUTION: Too much force causes heat build up, which can shorten the life of the bit.

    INSERTING/REMOVING BITS See Figure 10. n Remove battery pack from speed saw. CAUTION: To prevent damage to the spindle or spindle lock, always allow motor to come to a complete stop before engaging spindle lock.
