Entering Patient Data

Before beginning a patient examination, you can use the keyboard to enter
general patient information into the Patient Data form.
You can also retrieve previously saved patient information from an MO disk,
CD, or the system's hard disk.
Note: DIMAQ is required for retrieval of patient information from CD or the system's
hard disk.
For software versions 1.3 or higher (requires DIMAQ-IP support):
You can also automatically register a new patient by pressing one of the
documentation controls configured for disk storage or clip capture when
no patient is registered. The system opens a new study, identifying the
Patient Name as an asterisk (*) and the Patient ID as the opening date
and time. You can then change the patient information (and select
ID Store for MO storage) for the current study while the study
remains open.
For software versions 1.5 or higher (requires DIMAQ-IP support):
You can automatically register a new patient by using the Worklist
search function.
For software version 2.0 or higher (requires DIMAQ-IP support):
Use the system presets to enable automatic storage of the
New Patient Data form to the related patient's study when each
patient is registered.
To enter new patient information:
1. Press the F1 function key located on the keyboard to display the
New Patient Data form.
Note: You can also review and edit an existing form by pressing the
F3 (PATIENT DATA) key.
2. Enter the patient information using the instructions on the
following pages.
3. To save the patient information to an MO disk for use with future
exams, select the ID STORE checkbox at the bottom of the form.
4. Select OK at the bottom of the form to confirm your entries or select
Cancel to discard your entries.
To confirm your entries, roll the trackball to the OK button and then
press the SET key to enter the patient information.
The system displays the image screen with the new patient
information.
To exit the form without saving the entries, select Cancel at the
bottom of the form.
The system redisplays the image screen with the previous patient's
information and discards the entries on the new patient data form.
