Input Controls Input Source Buttons The RSP-1066 can be used with up to eight source components. Press any of the eight front- panel buttons to select an audio or video in- put source (TUNER, CD, VCR, etc.) for listen- ing. -

Dolby Pro Logic decoding delivers a mono sig- nal with reduced high-frequency content to the surround speakers. The more advanced de- coder in the RSP-1066, Dolby Pro Logic II, in- creases the separation and frequency response of the surround channels for significantly im- proved performance with Dolby Surround en- coded recordings. -

NOTE speakers, the Rotel XS processing automati- cally optimizes the surround output for 6.1 and 7.1 systems. Rotel XS works with all mul- tichannel digital signals, including Dolby Digi- tal Surround EX discs as well as sources that would not otherwise activate an extended surround decoder. -

ZONE 2 operation Digital Outputs The RSP-1066 has a digital output (with a choice of coaxial or optical connectors) to send the digital signal from any of the five digital in- puts to a digital recorder or outboard digital processor. -

AC wall outlet. When the RSP-1066 is activated, a 12 volt DC control signal appears at these connec- tors and will turn on amplifiers whose 12 volt trigger sensor is connected to them. -

To configure your system for Zone 2 opera- tion, connect the left and right Zone 2 outputs on the RSP-1066 to the left and right channel inputs of the amplifier powering the remote speakers, using standard RCA audio cables. -
