Where are faults indicated?
How are faults indicated and
interpreted?

This section explains where and how faults are indicated, and how to
interpret the indications.
Faults of the system power supply, load power supply, battery supply
and fans are indicated by LEDs on the front plate of the power supply
unit.
When all monitoring circuits are switched on (jumper settings), the
following indications can appear:
LED Indication
Cause
"Voltage low" LED
The voltage at the voltage
lights up.
monitor is less than 14 V.
"MB low" LED
The lithium battery has failed
lights up.
or the battery compartment is
faulty. (Precondition: no
external battery voltage is
present).
"RB low" LED
The rechargeable battery has
lights up.
failed.
"Fan 1" LED lights
The speed of Fan 1 has
up.
dropped or Fan 1 has stopped.
"Fan 2" LED lights
The speed of Fan 2 has
up.
dropped or Fan 2 has stopped.
"Fan 3" LED lights
The speed of Fan 3 has
up.
dropped or Fan 3 has stopped.
At least 2 "Fan"
At least 2 fans have failed.
LEDs light up as
well as the "Alarm"
LED.
All 3 "Fan" LEDs
The air flow is inadequate.
flash and the
"Alarm" LED lights
up.
For all faults, the indication appears 6 s after the monitor has
responded. (Exception: The "Voltage low" LED lights up
immediately.)
