    SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES n Do not permit children to use worklight unsupervised. It is not a toy. The temperature of the bulb will become hot after being on for only a short period of time. This hot temperature can cause burn injury if touched and can create sufficient heat to melt some fabrics.

    ASSEMBLY UNPACKING This product has been shipped completely assembled. n Carefully remove the worklight and any accessories from the box. Make sure that all items listed in the packing list are included. n Inspect the worklight carefully to make sure no breakage or damage occurred during shipping.

    OPERATION WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with worklights to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. WARNING: Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this worklight.

  • Page 11 OPERATION TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK See Figure 4. n Align the raised rib on the battery with the groove inside flashlight base. n Slide together until latches click. CAUTION: When placing battery pack in the worklight, be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with groove inside worklight and latches snap into place properly.

    RIDGID authorized service center. BULB REPLACEMENT See Figure 6. When purchasing replacement bulb, request recommended part number 780036001 (for Model No. R829) or 7806001 (for Model No. R839). TO REPLACE BULB: n Allow bulb to cool.
  • Page 13 MAINTENANCE BATTERIES The battery pack for this worklight is equipped with nickel- cadmium rechargeable batteries. Length of service from each charging will depend on the type of work you are doing. The batteries in the battery pack have been designed to provide maximum trouble-free life.
