FEATURES KNOW YOUR SCREWDRIVER See Figure 1. Before attempting to use this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. DIRECTION OF ROTATION SELECTOR (FORWARD/REVERSE/CENTER LOCK) Your screwdriver has a direction of rotation (forward/reverse/ center lock) selector located above the switch trigger for changing the direction of bit rotation.
OPERATION WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict severe injury. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operating tools. OPERATION TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK See Figure 4. n Place the battery pack in the screwdriver, aligning raised rib on battery pack with groove in the tool’s battery port. n Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap into place and the battery pack is secured to the screwdriver before beginning operation.
OPERATION DIRECTION OF ROTATION SELECTOR See Figure 6. The direction of bit rotation is reversible and is controlled by a selector located above the switch trigger. With the screwdriver held in normal operating position, the direction of rotation selector should be positioned to the left of the switch trigger for driving.
OPERATION STICK/PISTOL POSITION See Figures 8 - 9. The screwdriver has been designed so that it can be used as a stick screwdriver or a pistol screwdriver. A pivot locking button is located on the side of the screwdriver. To place the screwdriver in stick position: Hold in normal operating position, slide pivot locking button down and twist front housing fully to the right.
OPERATION REMOVING BITS See Figure 10. n Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation selector in the center position. n Remove the battery pack from the screwdriver. n Pull the coupler away from the screwdriver. n Remove screwdriver bit from the coupler. WARNING: Do not drive a screw where there is likely to be hidden wiring behind the surface.
