6.3 ESR executed autonomously in the drive
Note
SINAMICS S120, function module "ESR"
To activate the function module "ESR", the configuration mode must first be enabled in the
SINAMICS S120:
p0009 = 2 (defining the drive type/function module)
The "ESR" function module can then be subsequently activated:
Drive object: CU, p0108.9 = 1 (activate function module "ESR")
The feedback signal is realized using:
Drive object: SERVO, r0108.9 == 1 (function module "ESR" active)

For SINUMERIK 828D, in conjunction with Safety Integrated, currently only ESR executed
autonomously in the drive is possible (function is integrated in the drive).

Meaning
OFF3 (default)
The drive is braked along the OFF3 down ramp by immediately entering
n_set = 0 (p1135: OFF3 ramp-down time).
OFF1
By immediately entering n_set = 0, the drive is braked along the ramp
generator down ramp (p1121: ramp-function generator ramp-down time).
Description
ESR: Timer
The drive travels at a constant velocity for the configured time with the speed setpoint
that was present when the fault occurred.
