■ UPDATING FIRMWARE / ファームウェアのアップデート
When the following parts are replaced, the firmware must
be updated to the latest version.
Replaced parts
交換部品
Microprocessor (IC316) of MAIN P.C.B.
EEPROM (IC315) of MAIN P.C.B.
MAIN P.C.B.
● Confirmation of firmware version and checksum
Before and after updating the firmware, check the
firmware version and checksum by using the self-
diagnostic function menu.
Start up the self-diagnostic function and select "9.
MICROPROCESSOR INFORMATION" menu. (See
"SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION")
Using the sub-menu, have the firmware version and
checksum displayed, and note down them.
● Initializing the back-up IC
Be sure to initialize the back-up IC after updating
the firmware, otherwise the set up information (tuner
preset, surround mode) can not be memorized
properly.
Start up the self-diagnostic function and select "15.
FACTORY PRESET" menu. (See "SELF-DIAGNOSTIC
FUNCTION")
Select "15-2. PRESET RSRV" sub-menu and turn off
the power once and turn on the power again. Then
the buck-up IC is initialized.
Updating method using the Firmware CD
● Required Tools
• DVD or CD player
(with DIGITAL OUTPUT (OPTICAL) jack)
• Optical cable (when OPTICAL jack is used)
• Firmware CD
* To make the firmware CD, download the latest
firmware from the specified download source.

ファームウエアのアップデートの前後に、ファーム
ウエアのバージョンとチェックサムをダイアグで確
認します。
ダイアグを起動し、 9. MICROPROCESSOR INFORMATION
を選択します。 （ 「ダイアグ」参照）
サ ブ メ ニ ュ ー で フ ァ ー ム ウ ェ ア の バ ー ジ ョ ン と
チェックサムを表示し、それらを書きとめます。
ファームウェアのアップデート後、必ずバックアッ
プ IC の初期化を行ってください。でなければ、設
定情報（チューナープリセット、サラウンドモード）
が正常に記憶されません。
ダイアグを起動し、 15. FACTORY PRESET を選択し
ます。 （ 「ダイアグ」参照）
サブメニュー 15-2. PRESET RSRV を選択し、電源を
一度切ってから、もう一度電源を入れるとバックアッ
プ IC が初期化されます。
・ DVD または CD プレーヤー
（DIGITAL OUTPUT（OPTICAL）端子付き）
・ 光ファイバーケーブル（OPTICAL 端子使用時）
・ ファームウェア CD
※ ファームウェア CD は、最新のファームウェ
アを指定のダウンロード先からダウンロード
して製作してください。
