1. Stop and Start System indicator light "
The Stop and Start System is a system
that stops the engine automatically af-
ter a certain period of time when the
vehicle is stopped while the Stop and
Start System indicator light is on to
prevent noise, control exhaust emis-
sions, and reduce fuel consumption.
When the rider turns the throttle grip
slightly, the engine restarts automati-
cally and the vehicle starts off.
NOTICE
 When parking the vehicle or
leaving the vehicle unattended,
be sure to turn the key to " "
and remove the key from the
EAU76660 main switch. If the Stop and
Start System is left turned on,
the battery could become dis-
charged and it may not be pos-
sible to restart the engine due to
insufficient battery voltage.
 When using the kickstarter to
start the engine because the en-
gine cannot be started using the
starter switch due to low battery

voltage or other problem, set
the Stop and Start System

Start System switch is left in
the " " position, the engine
may not restart automatically
using the starter switch when
the Stop and Start System oper-
ates.
TIP
 If you think the battery voltage has
decreased because the rotation of
ECA23930
the starter motor is weak or for
some other reason, do not turn on
the Stop and Start System.

battery at the intervals specified in
the periodic maintenance chart.
