7 – Link Loss indications on E1 ports
1. Link loss at the copper input E1 port at the remote FEM device causes the
following events:
a. the Local green LED goes off (2)
b. the LOS LED (red) lit (3)
c. a failure indication signal is sent to the local FEM unit
2. The failure signal causes the Remote LED at the local FEM unit to be off (4)
AI (Alarm Indication Signal) is transmitted (5) to the Local Device which is
notified and alerted that the E1 path is malfunctioning.
