    This is a normal condition and does not affect treadmill performance. If there is lubricant on top of the walking belt, simply wipe off the lubricant with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.

  • Page 10 Before operating the television, you must connect a 75 ohm CATV cable to the 75 ohm terminal on the treadmill. Note: Use a CATV cable to connect to an external source such as a cable box, an analog cable, a satel- lite TV box, or a VCR.

    Failure to use a properly functioning surge suppressor could result in damage to the control system of the treadmill. If the control system is damaged, the walking belt may change speed, accelerate or stop unexpect- edly, which may result in a fall and serious injury.
  • Page 12 In addition, the console offers eight preset programs. Each program automatically controls the speed and in- cline of the treadmill as it guides you through an effec- tive workout. You can even create custom workout pro- grams and store them in memory for future use.
  • Page 13 Next, stand on the foot rails of the treadmill. Find the clip attached to the key (see the drawing on page 12) and attach the clip securely to the waistband of your clothes.

  • Page 17 HOW TO USE A HEART RATE PROGRAM During heart rate program 9, your heart rate will reach approximately 85% of your age-predicted maximum heart rate. (Note: Your age-predicted maximum heart rate is calculated by subtracting your age from 220. For example, if you are 30 years old, your age-pre- dicted maximum heart rate is 190 beats per minute).

    1. Hold the upper ends of the handrails. Place one foot against one of the wheels. 2. Tilt the treadmill back until it rolls freely on the front wheels. Carefully move the treadmill to the desired location. To re- duce the risk of injury, use extreme caution while mov- ing the treadmill.

    TROUBLESHOOTING Most treadmill problems can be solved by following the steps below. Find the symptom that applies, and follow the steps listed. If further assistance is needed, please call the toll-free telephone number on the front cover of this manual.
