SPEAKER PLACEMENT

This unit features
a detachable
speaker
system.
The left
and right speaker
enclosures
can be detached
from the
main unit, and placed where
desired.
When the speaker
enclosures
are attached to the main unit, the MCH-S970F
can be carried to any location desired.
CONNECTING THE SPEAKERS
Speaker terminals
(SPEAKERS)
These terminals
will accept speakers with an impedance
of 3 to 8
ohms. The speaker wire should be connected
to
the speaker
terminals
with the proper
polarity.
The red
terminal
ispositive
(+),
andthe
black terminal
is negative
(–). The speaker wire with white stripe is positive (+) and
the other is negative (–).
NOTE:

Ifspeakerconnections
are made with incorrect polarity,
proper stereo reproduction
will not be obtained.
Twist the two solid black wires together.
Push the terminal
button and insert the speaker
wire
into the opening.
Release
the terminal
button.
The speaker
wire is se-
cured.

To detach the speaker enclosures
1.

Push the SPEAKERS
terminal
button and remove
the
speaker wire.
Push the RELEASE
lever as illustrated
and push the
speaker
enclosure
toward
the front.
Extend the speaker wire to the desired
length.
Connect the speaker wire to the SPEAKERS terminals.
To attach the speaker enclosures
1. Push the SPEAKERS terminal
button and
remove
the
speaker wire.
2. Attach thespeaker
enclosures
to the main unit and slide
the speaker enclosures
to the locked position.
3. Place the excess speaker
wire onto the speaker
wire
guide on the back of each speaker enclosure.
4. Connect the speaker wire to the SPEAKERS terminals.
